First time shoppers and experienced buyers need to understand the difference between Hemp Extract and CBD Oil
The terms Hemp Extract and CBD Oil are often used interchangeably but that is not technically correct. There are certainly applications for both Hemp Extract and CBD Oil but science shows that Hemp Extract will be the most meaningful product for the majority of users. Let’s get into it…
When you create a Hemp Extract, you’re using all of the goodness that is naturally included in the hemp plant. CBD, or cannabidiol, is certainly part of the equation but Hemp Extract is one of those things where “the sum is greater than the parts of the whole.”
By including CBD, CBG, terpenes, and all of the other beneficial components of hemp you get the “entourage effect*” where all of the compounds work in symphony to provide you the greatest benefit. Interestingly, all of those compounds on their own would not provide the same Relaxing, Recovering, and Resting benefits- even at high doses.
With “CBD Oil” products, the CBD is isolated from the rest of those beneficial compounds and put into the package without them. It turns out that CBD as a solo act shows a lower efficacy compared to CBD as part of a full spectrum hemp extract1 product!
To put it simply, CBD on its own will not provide the same benefits as Hemp Extract.
It’s an interesting time for the Hemp Extract and CBD marketplace. There are slews of fly-by-night outlets and Multi Level Marketing scams cropping up- Intent CBD is not one of them.
We’re very proud of the fact that the hemp we use is USDA Organic certified and with testing results available, Intent CBD is a product you can trust.
